The very popular movie franchise "Star Wars" has been one of my favorites for years. I still love watching that age-old battle of good vs. evil as young Luke Skywalker discovers who he really is and the power available to him as a Jedi Master. As a twenty year old, it was exciting for me to hear about the Force and how it could be used. Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader and all the characters were in many ways early teachers and symbols of basic concepts of spirituality for me. Now, more than ever, I realize how real and vital the Force is in our lives. You can call it God, source, universal intelligence—whatever you'd like. But it's part of us, all around us and readily available if we open to it.
Just like Luke had to become aware of the Force to discover his powers, so do each of us. We all have our own special Jedi powers even if we haven't yet awakened to them. But it's still within us, waiting to be explored and put to good use. In this month's message, Dr. Peebles will bring to light YOUR unique powers as the master that you are. Open to a greater understanding of the Force within you and the unique talents and abilities you have at your disposal. Learn how to bring them to your full conscious awareness to be able to connect with your power more readily. Last but not least, begin to see the many ways you can use your powers to fulfill your highest purpose in this life. Dare to believe and find the Jedi Master within you for the Force is always available to you.
